Cryotherapy FAQ's
Q. What is cryotherapy?
A. Cryotherapy is a process that rapidly freezes skin tissue to destroy it. CryoPen utilises controlled high-pressure Nitrous Oxide (N2O) directly to the lesion to freeze the interstitial fluid leading to Cryo-necrosis.
The use of Nitrous Oxide (N2O) and the precision of CryoPen allow us to remove unwanted lesions without damage to the surrounding healthy tissue.
Q. What can it treat?
A. A precise, quick, and painless treatment suitable for the removal of
aesthetic lesions such as:
-
Pigmented spots
-
Solar lentigo
-
Skin tags
-
Haemangioma
-
Cherry Angioma
-
Seborrheic Keratosis
Q. How long does it take for the lesions to clear?
A. 4 weeks
Q. Is there any downtime?
A. There is no downtime as such, however where the lesion was removed, and depending on the type of lesion, you may have a darker spot with a crusty surface whilst it works to slough away and fall off.
