Cosmetic Tattoo FAQ's

We have listed some important information you need to be aware of before you visit for your appointment.

Q. What happens after I book in?
A. After you book, you will be sent a consultation form to complete, it is strongly advised to complete this the same day you receive it. If you do this on the same day, it will allow me to see if there is any reason you may not be suitable for treatment. If you leave completing the form within 24 hours of the appointment and find you are not suitable, this will count as a late cancellation.

Q. What tattoo method do you use?
Digital Tattoo Machine is used for Powder/Ombre brows. Most people are familiar with this as it is where you feel the buzzing and vibration of a tattoo machine.  This can offer a soft powder brow look and is especially good for oily and mature skin types. Initially, the brow appears quite dark but lightens 30-40% and lasts longer than microblading.

Q. How long does the treatment take?
Initial treatment takes about 3 hours.

Q. Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

A. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted in the room due to WHS law.
PLEASE NOTE – We do not allow friends or family in the room during your treatment as this may cause distractions for our technicians.

Q. How much is the booking fee retainer and what is the cancellation policy?
Booking fees are accepted via debit or credit card, cash, or online booking.
A 50% retainer is required to secure your appointment. This amount is non-refundable if you cancel your appointment within 24 hours prior to your appointment time
Domenica's schedule is very busy, and if for some reason you cannot attend your appointment, it is unlikely we can book you in on another day, and we, unfortunately, need to put you on our wait list. Clients who are needing their perfecting sessions will get priority.

Q. Will it hurt?

A. A topical anesthetic is used to ensure your comfort during your treatment.
Once you have booked you will be sent details to order your topical anesthetic. You will need to go online and order your topical anesthetic at least 7 days before your appointment.
When you order online it gives the compounding pharmacy all the information they need to safely dispense the product. It provides them information on the date you are having the procedure, which tells them which clinic to send it to and by when. They have now integrated the payment page and patient care checklist to avoid any possible delays in getting the product to the salon in time for the appointment. The cost to you will be $34.90 including postage.
This form is screened by the pharmacist to ensure the product is suitable and safe to use without any adverse reactions. You will be contacted at this point if they have any concerns.
They send the product directly to the clinic before the procedure date.

Q. What should I wear on the day of treatment?
Do not wear white or light-colored clothing. Wash your hair the morning of or the night before your appointment as you will not be able to wet the tattooed area for 7 days after your appointment.

Q. How do I care for my brows afterward?
A. We provide you with aftercare creams and saline wipes.  Your tattooist will also thoroughly go through all aftercare advice with you on the day of your appointment.

Q. Do I just have one treatment?
A. A touch-up is required to ensure your tattoo is as accurate as can be up to 4-6 weeks after the initial appointment. Refer to our pricing section for current treatment prices.  Everyone’s skin takes tattoo pigment differently, and because of this many people need touch-ups at different stages.

*If you suffer from any nervous or anxiety disorders please consider carefully if this is something for you as the process takes a good 6 weeks to be completed and can be an anxious wait as the treatment is not perfected until after healing of the touch-up.

If you have any further questions prior to booking please send us an email.
